Television Host
Shay Galor is a dynamic and energetic Television Host, Anchor and Reporter from Toronto, Canada, currently based out of the gorgeous Okanagan in British Columbia.
Most recently, Shay worked for Global News as a Community Reporter, telling the unique stories of people to know, places to see and things to do. One day she would jump out of a Hercules military plane with the Canadian Armed Forces, the next she would interview a father who lost both his sons to suicide. It was a full-throttle position, always on the go, and Shay very quickly became well known and beloved across the Okanagan and B.C.
Prior to that, Shay worked with the CTV Northern Ontario family as an Anchor/Photojournalist. In addition to pitching new unique story ideas daily, Shay shot and edited two news packages each day for the 5pm and the 6pm newscasts using brand new Atlas technology, equipment and software. She reports with a natural, authentic charm that engages all types of audiences.
That being said, Shay's true love is hosting. Her favourite time in broadcast television was hosting the flagship lifestyle show Daytime Toronto for Rogers TV. Using an IFB and teleprompter became second nature to Shay, along with the ability to get to the heart of an interview quickly and authentically with her usual infectious enthusiasm, humour and tact. She also hosted two community-based one hour live-to-tape in-studio and on-location talk shows called The Bulletin Board and Your Week with Shay in the York Region branch of Rogers TV.
